I am generally a M/L in bottoms (30" waist and 41" hips), but I opted for the S in these because the garment measurements exactly matched the measurements of my favorite comfy shorts. The S did fit and was great in the butt/hip area, but the waistband is weirdly tight on these in an uncomfortable way. I sized up to the L since M was out of stock, and they do work after tying the drawstring down a bit, but a M would have absolutely been my preferred fit if they hadn't sold out.

i wanted these to be perfect for me and they were close! the material is so lovely and soft and breezy, but they just run too big on me. i have a small waist and bigger butt, and these were overall too big. going to try the xs eventually
