These shorts are everything I was hoping they’d be, and better. My current round-the-house shorts are cheaply made, many years old, and ill-fitting. They’re made of thin cotton and raw elastic waistband and they’re too short and too tight….absolutely the opposite of comfort.
When I bought these, I wanted shorts that were a little longer (as in, not booty shorts. could comfortably wear in casual mixed company), had a gentle waistband that wouldn’t punish me after a filling meal, and were both roomy enough that they never felt tight but fitting enough to hold a phone in the back pocket without falling off my hips. These shorts do it all so well. They’re incredibly soft (I think we’ve all been sleeping on tencel because this stuff is top tier), they’re modest (cover my butt) without looking old-ladyish, they stay up with an iphone in the pocket, and I never notice the waistband while they’re on—not even after dinner. I think I’m going to wear these into the ground (which won’t be for years because these things are really well made) and then keep buying replacements until the day I die. Seriously. They’re worth the money.
My waist is 36” and hips are 46”, though that fluctuates several inches as I eat throughout the day, as bodies do. The XL fits me perfectly, and I could see these still comfortably fitting people up to a 40” waist.
